Welcome to the Pachi Battle System Web Site!
If you're here, then you probably already know what this is about. But, after 4 years in hiatus, the project is going to come back! It does, however, require time and other stuff, so please don't expect a quick fix for pachi logging.
The current system in development is being programmed for the LPT port of a computer. This allows up to 12 machines to be connected and might suffice for those with a couple of machines. However; the ultimate goal of this project is to track and log a home-based pachi parlour consisting of pachislo and pachinko machines. This system will be powered by microcontrollers and microprocessors which link together and stream their data to a central server. That system will be wired through ethernet or serial links. It might even be a part of the project to have client / server software.
The other aim is (if you use this system) to create an online community of pachi tracking. It could incorporate the ability for your machines to blog about you playing them and give rise to international championships or competitions for those wishing to partake... That's the future of pachi!
Having said all of that, the system is in its initial stages of research and development. The first PBS counter was released back in 2006 with the ability to track two machines, simultaneously in real-time. This was crude and simple. I now have a development system and am looking into a couple of PCB manufacturers that have been recommended to me. There's still more information I'd like help with, though:
There's probably more, but that's what's need to take the project along. I'm working mostly in assembly language at the moment, but have some compiled libraries and other code that I can use in mikroC and mikroBASIC (since I'm using the EasyPIC 6, it seems worthwhile using their compilers for now). I'm also checking out MPLAB as I've had some recommendations about it from a few people.
If you'd like to help out by donating either one or some of the items above, or even to buy me a beer, please click on the 'Donations' link at the top or click here. I'll make a note of everyone who's contributed and we can work out discounts / freebies in the future. ;-)
